Lothar Walther Centerfire Barrels?

Anyone have any experience with these? I want to get a heavier barrel on my .223. Whilst I’m happy with the maddco .204 barrel I have, and I have a Swan .22-250 on the way, the lothar blanks seem to be readily available, and my local smith only has a 2 week lead time. I’ll be talking to him about it at the end of the week, just wanted to see if anyone else can share their thoughts and experience with them.

I think I read somewhere that they can be quite hard, so good for the shooter, not so good for the gunsmith (specifically the reamer).

My local smith won’t use them for that reason. It’s a shame really as they have a good rep and are comparatively cheaper than some others.
