Walnut challenges

Apologies for not posting very much these days but I've been OH so busy learning a new trade .
Its all been very challenging but slowly getting there - with a massive amount of help from a friend. :lol: :lol:

Shouldn't be too much longer now , next training session will be the sanding , oiling & flannel rubbing. :?

Naturally I'll be guided by you Bruce but hopefully I think it will turn out perfect with no sanding required. The good chap that did it knows his stuff for sure. :lol:

Looking bloody nice, should come beautifully with a bit of oil, nice grain.

That’s a nice bit of timber there Barry. Should look very nice with some oil.
Your choice of butt pad is unusual though.

I know it looks a bit strange Rob but a bit of a trick we have (not patented ) to protect the wood until the final day when the butt plate goes on. Trust me. :)

Recoil pad should be fitted before you start sanding.

Sorry Andrew I didn't intentionally mean to do that to you . Just a thing I have about walnut , don't know why.
May try & get my mind off wood & do just a little research on those Rico 75 RS thingo's , but waiting on Dash to grab the first one & give us a report. :lol:
