Next DIY project

Been mulling over an idea for a few days now and finally started to put the idea to the test
A few photos might give you a hint as to what it will be.
1. A handful of red gum slats
Chose a couple and cut to length/width
Made up a 20mm grid and laminated it
Stuck down and ready to punch marker points
Punching finished and voila, a 2cm grid on my timber
Gotta have a supervisor
I hope it works out

Nope, and gotta do something to keep myself occupied in quiet times.
Pity about the borer holes, but I reckon I can fill them with sanding dust and wood finish.

NO
Bit more done today, holes drilled
Selected some more bits from the scrap heap
Got some bits waiting for the glue to dry
Offsider still in attendance
Lost a lot of time finding “the” right pieces of timber

I'm just about buggered with this quiz so I give up. BUT could ya get that bloody doig off that nicely tanned deer skin - please.

But he likes it there, snuggles right down and sleeps most of the time. It is a good skin.
