Just got my Lithgow 101 back from a gunsmith who fitted a PacNor 22lr stainless match barrel to it, the only hassle is it loves Eley tenex and most ammo that I shot through it is dam near as good such as SK rifle match, just have to glass bed it and work on the trigger a bit more and it should be a great rifle for rabbit head shots at extended ranges.

For comparison how did it shoot with the original barrel ?

Now we need some pics of dead things lots of dead things.

What did you do with the original barrel?

Thanks all for the great comments and questions, ok here's more information the ELEY tenex group is 5 shots and measures .209 and the original barrel I can get at anytime, as if this one didn't shoot I would have had it refitted, well regarding lots of dead things Ill visit my mate at Parkes in about three months and do a bit of spot lighting out at his mate property.
I also as I said before will glass bed the action and work over the trigger just a bit more and I was thinking of making a test jig rail gun mount for it and going out to silverdale ssaa and seeing what it will really do.
oh here's my brno Mod 1 with it's anshutz 1710 heavy barrel in a sako pattern stock, here's a group shot with sk match,,,,,oh almost forgot all testing was done with a leupold MK4 6.5-20 set at 20x
Also the multi target was the lithgow with its original barrel and all the ammo tested

At least you kept the Mod 1 European even if different sides of the Berlin wall.

yes I never liked hog back stocks on the cz's and I had the model 1 for years and decided that I wanted a semi custom 22lr and I bought a semi finished stock from Geoff Slee when he was with us and got the brand new 1710 barrel of a guy for $200 at a show years ago and it all came together.

I have to admit that the stock definitely suits it better than the standard factory job on those model 1, good pick up with the barrel.

Damn they both look and shoot tops! My brno looks very boring lol.

well I took the rifle(lithgow 101) to cecil park Olympic shooting centre and set the rifle up in their balistic test range and the rifle was mounted in a machine rest here's some pics of a 10 shot groups at 50m plus some other pics
