Decisions decisions.

Currently trying to decide which rifle needs a new bed.
There's the 300WSM that's going to cop a slow twist #7, or the Vartarg or the 7mm or the most deserving of all, project tightarse tikka M55 in 22-250. The M 55 would look grand in a new stock.

TR486 would look nice on the Tikka M55, looks beg enough to make a good thumbhole stock, and the other, well, I reckon that would fit nicely on the Vartarg. Some nice wood comes from Roger.

The blanks and the library are both impressive Kicken.

Funny that. I couldn't believe it was the cheaper of the two.

Not my library Marcus. It belongs to Roger Vardey. What a wealth of no bullshit knowledge the man is. Oh, did I mention his 25-06? And that has 40lpi chequering which appears to be perfect but is only a backdrop to the hand engraving on the action?

TR486, as it's bigger it would make a larger stock for the 300wsm

I would almost bet it is because of the way the grain runs.

Nice decision to have to make Kicken
Recon both will come up a treat
Am sure the wood rubba would love to get his hands on both of them

Jeepers, some serious work gone into that. That checkering looks incredible but as you say it just background to that engraving.

They are going to look good no matter what rifle Kickin.
Prefer the red colour myself.

I like VR396 the best- it has some nice grain in the forend that will look fantastic running through checkering, and still has some good fiddle back to compliment the grain down through the butt. I also like the contrasting and warm wood colours through the butt.
But as Mark said, both will look pretty special when finished.
