New 1000yd light gun/ f class rig
So this has been on the go since early last year. Picked the sleeved Remington up cheap. The factory bolt was horrid so 2 new ptg bolts with m16 extractors were ordered on mag one 308. The bolts took almost 12 months to front up then it all went together pretty smoothly.
The rifle came with a Davison rail and I don't have any rings for them so I made a 20moa rail up to suit. The holes in the sleeve weren't true to the bore either so I had to set it up with the scope set central and move the rail slightly until I found the right spot then it was pinned front and rear and the holes drilled and tapped larger.
The bolt stop was also an issue as you standard Remington release was still there but no button so a screw driver had to be used.
I knocked the new stainless plunger style one up this morning and fitted it.

Nice work there Wardy, I envy you blokes who have the skills and equipment to do those sort of jobs.

Wardy, looks good, hope it shoots to your expectation.
Wish I had more than a file, drill and angle grinder to do metal work.

Yeah certainly makes life easier having all the gear. Beats paying through the nose for stuff I can do myself.
Tomorrow will be the first firing hopefully it does what it's supposed to.
