I've bedded half a dozen centre fires over the years but still to do a rim fire , is there anything to take particular notice of when doing the cz ?

I had trouble with the "blueing" on mine. It had a bit of texture to it and didn't release cleanly. I ended up polishing the action right back to bare metal. There is a post in the gun smithing forum about it.

Have done three bedding jobs on 453s, just do the rear tang and the front half inch of action plus first half inch or so of barrel. Pretty simple really. Plenty of release agent. Remove trigger and all the hanging down bits. I don't put the steel block under the action back in after bedding.

Glen, that's the first time Ive seen that thread you linked, you really are a clever little bunny aren't you. :D
