I got asked do you want this old Sako stock mate and I thought yeah never look a gift horse in the mouth.

I thought I was handed Liberaces walking stick first up :lol:

Could understand someone doing that to a stick of radiata pine, but why would anyone with any brain do that to a good stick of walnut. :roll:

The tiger has been sitting looking forlorn for a few weeks so I thought i would spend 10 mins on it between other jobs today.

Recut the checkering and finished it of now it goes on the market.

A bit different to how it started. :shock: a fair few hours spent to get a good result.
The checkering looks a lot better, you would be able to feel it now.

Much nicer now, what oil did you use missed? I've been putting CCL oil on my oil stocks to keep em in good condition, bloody good oil and leaves a lovely smooth finish and beautiful sheen too.

He won't tell you but it is a mix of vegetable oil and peanut oil.
He discovered it by accident on his cutting board

Scott Ccl is great stuff

But not what I used here
