First look at Eastec's work

Post by trevort »

Apart from fixing the shitty trigger on my 17 Mach 4 I haven't actually seen any of Luke's work yet. So in law picked up his Howa 308 and dropped by to show me

Image

He's fitted a stainless brake and cerakoted it to try to match the blued barrel. Neat job.

He also bedded it. Pillar bedded no less. Again neat job.

And the trigger that no one at the missedathon could get the creep out of. Well turns out its a two stage trigger. Now when you take up the slack you know only a little more pressure breaks it crisp and clean.

Quite impressed

That color lamininate stock looks really good with blued steel. I will be interested to hear how it shoots Trev.

Nicely done mate, he will be happy with the results. Only a matter of time till the key snaps off getting caught up in your jacket or sleeve

Marcus before any work was done, even with the crappy trigger it could put 3 shots into one hole at 100. That was with some 165gn ssts I had left over. We have 50 rounds left and he bought 500 150gn interlocks from 220. I hope it likes them. Will be working up a load cup weekend

I love my Howa. It's a good rifle on a budget. Looks like this will be similar.
