So I rub chicken salt and fat into my stock. How many coats?
Do I hand rub it with those silly alcohol wipes?

the last time I did a stock I sanded it for 7 hours, this 1 maybe an hour 15, the differance is really noticable once you but the oil on. I used to have a lot more time and was not in a hurry for that stock, this 1 I am.
Here is my progress so far after 1 coat.

I have been talking o the colonel a little bit lately and he has now given me a few tips on how to cook the chook, not just the recipe!
All 3 pieces started out the same, the light coloured 1 is untouched and half way through sanding.
The other 2 have been done with the same recipe but applied differently, the next lightest 1 has had around 30 coats and the dark 1 is on its first. They look completely different(better) in the sun.

Yeah, its amazing how much a little oil will change a piece of nice wood into a piece of very nice wood. Its one of the things in life that you actually get more out of than you put in. Lookin good Dave.
