For a Remington, primarily for fly. What would you recommend? Safety not required.

Is there anything besides a jewel for this type of shooting

I have a Jard BR trigger still in the box I would be willing to let you try
had a Jewel in my 20 PPC with the heaviest spring it was 9 oz also had 2 other springs
nice trigger. got another it is a rifle basics I think that is the trigger for my Stiller,
you can try that as well, none are for sale but.

All the other BR guys will have a Jewel.

I have two perfect rifle basix and one thats farked but you may have helped me establish that might be something to do with the bloke that fitted it, He fitted the first two earlier in his career

I have a rifle basix, and have used a jewell on my cousins .204. The jewell was very good, and has the benefit of being adjustable through the trigger guard.

The rifle basix is also very good, but you need to take the stock off to ajust. The trigger blade also has some side-to-side slop which I would prefer it not to have, although not as noticeable when actually shooting.

Keep in mind these are on hunting rifles rather than full-on bench rest rifles. I haven't had any experience with bench rest gear.

The Jard I bought off PVM never fitted, the info with it says pull weights
of 2oz, 3oz, 4oz, 5oz, 7oz. Just looked a bit harder and says Match 2-3.
The Rifle basix came from AI, Jasonf bought it and didn't suit him Couldn't fit a L/H action
I think that will be the one that goes on my Stiller.
PVM may be able to help you with other info on the Jard.

I run 5 now will use anything else!

Got both the Jewel and the Rifle Basix BR, to be honest, there isn't much between them in use, both around the 1.5 to 2 oz mark. The Jewel is easier to fit or remove, as it's all self contained, whereas the top plate of the RB is free with the pins out, so you have to be careful not to lose the little spring under it. If you don't anticipate taking the trigger off much, save the money and get RB, otherwise the jewel is the best option.

Thanks for your opinions fellas. I have some direction now which was missing before.

I have Jewel,Shilen, a Kelbly and hope to soon have a A&B to try,when adjusted correctly they are all good,one of the Shilens is an older one and I can not get the creep out of it even when set so light....................its noticeable.
Same goes for the last lot of Jewels,I have had 2x recently that were a pig to get right,anyway they are all great and it either comes down to dollars or availability................or both.

I have jewel, shilen and rifle basix. Would buy either the jewel or shilen again but have never liked the rifle basix. In fairness though the basix trigger was second hand and I never adjusted it at al,l just disliked it enough to not bother but have since fired 2 rifles belonging to the bloke that sold me the trigger which he had adjusted and hated both of them to and they were not rifle basix triggers but something else so it may not be the triggers fault.

I have been thinking about this since posting and reading other topics and I think I would rather my factory howa trigger than my rifle basix, ok that probably does not help your remington much but that is my opinion of my Rifle Basix trigger

No point in reinventing the wheel - get a Jewell or a Kelbly's if you can
I've got a RB - heaps of side play in trigger blade and cant get it under 12oz ( on a savage )
