What sort of trigger guard is that, and where do you get them from?

Yes Stink its a Python action...........I should stop looking on the net cause I near dropped the hammer on a Bat 2x10 RBLPRE with a magnum boltface the other day,I have no need what so ever for one though other than for the old "one day".
Branxhunter its a stainless Bat trigger guard,I get them from the states.

Talking of trigger guards,I muffed the trigger inlet up a bit on this, cut it slightly oversize so going to machine a small alloy plate and inlet it into the stock and then inlet the trigger guard into that.........rule number 100001.........dont talk to someone when operation a mill,
especially if you have limited brain space such as myself

I prob should of pulled the trigger on a python action a few years ago but anyway, do you like the action? Figure would make a good action for many different cartridges from big to medium.
Keep the updates coming, what bolt face?

Ryan the action is solid, its long, relatively heavy and it is well made ,it is just like a copy of my Viper only bigger and doesnt have a drop port.....................I like it.
It has a larger and longer tenon than say a Viper,Bat,etc but I spoke to Russ at Stillers and I have 4x barrel adapters on their way.The adapters will allow me to thread a smaller shank barrel to 1.060(still a longer thread), loctite the adapter on and its good to go.
It is a .473 bolt face,it will take cases over 3inches in length,I was fortunate enough to have Kickinback machine a case rim/extractor groove machinerupperthingy for me so I can make larger diameter cases fit the boltface.
Regards Chris.

Ok the bedding came up alright, got to love flat bottomed actions, had a bit of a action locked in stock moment due to bedding material getting in trigger well, all good now just needs the trigger well in the stock to be remachined and the bolt cutout.

Ok,....I admit that a child may be born and sent to school quicker than this build but I am near up to the barrel bit now,I weighed it ,minus barrel and scope it is 7lb 1 oz.
Bit heavy but it will be fine, need to sand the stock a bit, make a carbon butt plate and a coat of auto clear and she is good to go,
Couple of pics of barrel reducing bush
Pillars,I f*cked the guard inlet initally, not much I can do about it now.
