Re: Savage pre fit barrels
Pacnor do and pretty sure mcgowen but not sure how to get them here. You can pay for a permit with shilen and pacnor to import .

PacNor are available from a few local suppliers. Track them down and ask for a quote on a pre-fit.
I'd hazard a guess that since everyone wants their profit, your better off sourcing a Maddco or TSE and having it set-up and supplied. You should automatically have zero fitting costs ... but some gunsmiths wont supply because of that exact reason, plus because they don't want their name linked to a kaboom if set-up wrong.
Being a Savage ... look into sourcing a Ruger 204R barrel and then shunting and rethreading/rechambering as that may also be cost-effective ... but again the sellers want their pound of flesh to supply a factory Ruger barrel.
Just cant win ... pay your money and build using a Maddco.
Cheers...
