Remington actions
Question for the Remington gurus.
Are all Remington 700 actions the same even between models? ie: Is an sps action the same as a vsf action?
I'm going through a few things in my head and have plenty of questions I need to ask someone with a good knowledge base on customising the rems.... Jason, are you available for a chat sometime mate?
cheers
BB

Re: Remington actions
Mate, what do you want to know? Remo's are either short action or long action. Made of different material, other than that, all the same!

Re: Remington actions
Happy to catch up on the phone James. PM me your number and some idea of a good time to call.
Depending on how far you want to go chasing accuracy, tarting up Remington actions may not be the best option unless you already own the donor or can get it cheap. Better to start with one of the cheaper custom actions - Pierce, Stiller etc.
Cheers, Jason.

I'll be putting a Tac 30 in the safe when they come in don't know what I will build but I bet it don't cost anything
to keep in there until I make up my mind.

Re: Remington actions
In terms of fit & finish, the more you pay the better they are. Just go to a gunshop & have a feel of the different models.
