Well, I have to give a bloke a thumbs up! I have known Matt Paroz through the shooting sports for a while (also he is Datto 1600 fan) and knew he was in the gunsmithing game. After a few chats it was game on and I had sent to him the Bighorn TL2 action and the #15 Krieger. We discussed freebore as I wanted it very specific to fit a AI mag with a 75Amax but utilise the most of the mag.
When I opened the package I knew the workmanship was good. The crown was great, everything the way it should be! I put the borescope up the barrel, all sweet. Proof however is in the accuracy, and I have to say it shoots darn great!
So this is a big thumbs up to Matt (Matt P) on this forum, and I do recommend him!
Cheers

Not looking to have anything built but what sort of time frame would one be looking at?
Rifle looks good (not my style) noticed it in your other post with the foxes and the light.

Timeframe would be best to find out from Matt himself.

Time frames depend on the type of work required and work load at the time but as a guide rebarrels 1-2 weeks once parts received (normally a week), complete rifles can take a while, biggest issue is getting all the bits required, especially if parts needed out of the US, for example Kreiger, Bartein are 12 months delivery if they can't be sourced locally, I have some Borden actions on order delivery will be 6-7 months.

Matt will you be routinely importing the Borden actions? Always liked the look of them, but have used Pierce for the last couple of builds because they are easily available here.

Great to hear you are happy with Matt's work. I spoke with him the other day about some options for a barrel for my 7mm rem mag and didn't realise he was a member on here

+1 on this. It would be good if they were readily available.

Hi Guys
The Bordens aren't cheap so stocking a lot of them isn't really an option, but the delivery times are reasonable 3-6 months and they do actually stick to delivery time frames, ATM the only action that isn't sold on the current order which should be here in 5-6 weeks is RH repeater short action with jewell trigger and tapered scope base.
Please PM or email (
lrpsolutions@optusnet.com.au) me for any other in-fo.
Regards Matt P
