What have you got or what do/have you used? In the market for a diy smith shop.

Colchester Master 2500 lathe, bridgeport clone, Tormach CNC and Cincinnatti CNC. They cover pretty much anything I need to do but a little CNC lathe is on the cards.

Hafco AL350B lathe. Taiwanese made. 44mm thru the headstock, 35" removable gap bed, 3 & 4 jaw chucks, full power feed. Indexed thread cutting, reversing back gears/belt head. Bought it new in 1981. Only maintenance to date was replacement of the feed nuts about 5 years ago. It's done a lot of work over the years and it will be around for a lot longer than I will. Interesting is that it's part metric, part imperial like me last holden was.

mmmm.... That's a winning hand right there.
Mine - Hafco AL320G lathe. Hafco HM10 mini mill. Lathe is good but would love a quick change gearbox.
