Good job mate.
"Hi Ryan, just wanted to share with you some IBI barrel results.

Bet a few shit shots have maddco tubes as well - a barrel doent make a group, if the nut behind the butt isnt capable, the 10k rifle wont group worth a dog turd either.lee_enfield223 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 6:03 pm

Re: Cleavers for cheap barrels
I picked up a 6.5 barrel this morning, looks good inside & out, measures pretty good just under .264", but you would need to cut 25mm off the muzzle as it is slightly bell mouthed, would still finish at 26", 5 groove, nominal 8" twist actually close to 8.25.
It is going to be a 6.5x47, but will be a month or two before I get it shooting.

Re: Cleavers for cheap barrels
I am also waiting to see how they shoot and clean up, after Rabbitz gave me that 6mmRemington brass at Yass, have been thinking of doing one, still haven't decided what projectile I will be planning on running, I have plenty of varmint rifles so don't really need something that shoots light bullets, maybe a 6mmRem on my old Omark action ?

Re: Cleavers for cheap barrels
What are you going to build wazza ?
Re: Cleavers for cheap barrels
222 rem rimless on a martini cadet action, Only looking for about 3200fps with 40gr projectiles. I am not chasing velocity its more about the rifle itself being fun to shoot and to fill the gap between my 22k hornet and 223.
I had one many years ago that I have always regretted selling.

Re: Cleavers for cheap barrels
A 6mm turned up here last week. Looks ok.
Probably be a 6BR on the Tikka M55 with a new stock. Have to go through the scrap wood and glue a few bits together.

That first one has to be the best excuse for building a rifle
