Assembled a few parts I’ve had laying around for making an induction heater for use in an annealing setup.
Still need to hook up a few relays, a timer and contactor and that should see the project half finished which is where I’ll leave it for a few years

Do you plan on a limited run of production models?
Probably out of my price range and wouldn’t get enough use to justify it for my use.

There’s about $300 in parts so far and I still need to make the case feeder.

Good one Kickin, just get it finished. It will take up less room in your shed.

This is your fault Bruce. When you posted your spotlight controller I dug the one out that I started back in 1998. I had to move the induction stuff to get to it.

Interesting side note.
I didn’t want to put the case too high into the coil and cook the whole case. Trialled at 15mm and 15 sec was required.
Lifted the case to level with the top of the coil and found only the neck was being heated and required only 5 sec of heating.
Trials continue.

That is kinda weird...
One would assume that the further the case was inserted into the element - the more of the case that would be heated....
