Thanks for the info. I'm going to start with 3 thou tension and see how it goes. At some point down the track I will probably tinker with it. I'm curious now to see what difference a little bit more or less will make.

Been away for a bit so catching up.
To put it simply, the objective of a bushing die is to use the elasticity of the brass to hold the bullet. A true three thou of tension or more is beyond the elasticity of the brass in these smaller calibers like 17, 204 and 224, and quite possibly 6mm. Used within the guidelines or elastic parameters of the cartridge brass, these dies will extend brass life in match chambers a lot, and in factory chambers, somewhat.
