ok where is a good place to get springs for triggers and such , I went in to the green shed and bugger me

the bastards have dropped all the spring section they literally had hundreds in all sizes now nothing.

Have seen packs of various springs on ebay.

If you know approximately length etc it may help.

We have a local engineering workshop that has been around for ages. Asked if he had any small springs, not sure was the reply. He then handed me an old cardboard box from a hidden shelf. Reckon it had 30 years of dust on it, spent a while sorting packets and digging out loose ones and found a selection to suit my CZ452. No charge and he tossed the box back in the shelf.

Really depends on what you need it for. I've swapped a Diana TO5 springs with BIC/Biro pen springs, C730 for PCP hammer springs, etc. I have a couple of spare and lighter CZ variety. You're in Melb?

LA 101 spring is 5/8 lond x 1/4 dia and what I need is about 0.015" wire dia as the Lumley is still way too heavy

I found a clicky pen that had the perfect spring up the top under the button for my 101. The spring its self gives 1.5 oz of trigger pull but combined with the friction of the sear etc. the total pull is 10.5 oz, much better than standard but not quite benchrest quality.

this is what I'm after I was thinking of rewinding one on a drill bit (used to do this years ago)

but what brand of pen was it ? .

I think a sear polish and a sear engagement screw installed in the front of the housing would

make it lighter if that's what you want .

Sorry, the remnants of the pen are long gone. This one is similar but much lighter (.2 oz) Look for a pen where the button stays up under light spring pressure and when pressed takes up the slack before the cartridge starts to move down and out.(hope that makes sense )
The big cartridge under the housing is from the pen I used.

thanks ........ but today I got a box of mixed springs and all the ones that are out of the box are useable

and some are very light so I'm happy .
