I'd take either bit of timber, but I'll buck the trend by saying I like the 396 a lot

Cheers Ned, I've seen a few stocks that look the same as the timber in the 486 and they look sensational I reckon.

Just lucky you like those cheap Cnc machined actions that are all the same length regardless of calibre. You may be able to swap stocks as it takes your fancy though you will have to be careful with smaller calibre as that extra millisecond to cycle through the long action may see you miss a follow up shot on charging dangerous game
