I agree Seddo, but we have a 40 cal restriction in the rules, but also most NRAA ranges are limited to 8mm, so it kind of limits you when you have to source projectiles. But it looks like a good fit for a 50 cal barrel.

Re: new heavy gun stock
Jacko,
That's an impressive looking stock mate.
New 7mm based on an 8x68 (because you own all the 8x68 RWS cases in Oz) but with less powder ... I assume that the whole climate change/fossil fuels thing has gotten to you.
I cant think of any other reason for a reduction in powder with the possible exception of a new faster burning type of coal.
If you get a splinter from that monster while working on it, post it up and I will use it as a stock for a Light Gun
Anyway as they say around the benches ... Go the RAT !!!!
Dave

Re: new heavy gun stock
Calling the powder he uses "Coal" is very appropriate, have you seen the size of the granules of that stuff, I think he said that each one was about a tenth of a grain in weight.

Hi Jacko,
A good looking stock. Are you barrel blocking or gluing action? Interested to know what adhesive you used for the aluminium and ply joints?
Cheers, Trevor.
