the 39sbk is the "go to" pill in the weight range. Stabilises in even the "iffy" 12 twists. Its just more expensive and sometimes harder to get.
Pisco it's the barrel twist rate. All the 39 to 40 pills are fantastic but if the twist rate of your barrel is not a true 1 in 12 or faster the 40s won't stabilise but the 39s will. So the 39s work in all factory 20 cal barrels and get the reputation as the best pill which is not true if your barrel is right
If the 40's were a flat base pill they would work. Its a crazy big boat tail for such a little bullet! 39SBK worked for my 1:12 lothar walther 20 prac when I had it. But the 40VM also worked too. Chose the sierras purely coz I couldnt get many 40VM at the time. Reloader 10x was powder of choice. Better velocity than any ADI powders at the time but 8208XBR might change that.
