Bring the knife to Yass?
yeah for sure, or send me the knife a month or so before hand and some pictures/drawings of what you want and I will deliver to the missedathon :D

Not shooting relate but I must when dressing my 4yo the other day I put a dress on her that had little belt loops and I asked her if she had a belt to put on. 'Nope' was the reply. Well she does now  all of 2 foot long and 12mm wide

Thanks, it came up pretty well I reckon, there are a few things I would change or not super happy with - there is a couple of stitches that didn't sit right (OCD much?), been doing a bit of stitching practice and watching a few good detailed videos on youtube which helps a lot. Also got some new thread which makes a massive difference to how it lays down - never thought I would get excited about sewing thread
The belts also came out really good I think and are nice and simple to make - Wore mine to church on Saturday morning and now have a couple of orders for them  For anyone wanting to give leather a go it reckon making a belt is the way to go. Nice and easy but look pretty smart when you are done and most leather supply places will sell straps of leather cut to width for various belts and you can even buy them pre dyed, then just pick your buckle to suit and sew or rivet it on.

For anyone interested and thinking about doing anything similar here are a few youtube videos that I have found really helpful

Pouch Sheath and some info on wet forming

Saddle stitch

Next project is going to be a leather notebook cover - should make me look all fancy like when I go to work meetings

Cheers

Bimbo, lining the pouches really adds some class to them, definately worth the extra effort. I will have to try that next time.

Made this up for the 'Cheese and Kisses' for her birthday tomorrow. Buckle strap notebook cover to fit A5 notebook.

Stitching done in one run which meant starting with just over 4 meters of thread makes it a bit of a handful at the start and took a good hour in front of the telly to get it all stitched up.

Well I have said before that I was looking for a solution to getting more of the plastic inserts for the ammo pouches and I looked high and low for something I could just buy off the shelf/interwed that would fit the bit but turned up nadda. So if you can't buy it, build it

Introducing Mr 3DPrinter

Printed up a bunch of calibration test pieces that you can download from the net but this was my first attempt at printing something I had draw up in cad myself. Never had anything to do with cad before so I was stoked that it somewhat resembles what I am after.

Needs some tweaking but should work as planned.
