After some parts for a build Ruger 77 mkii

Post by Chrispy »

I just received my donor action, a Ruger 77mkii for a 7.62x39 build. (Mainly due to the fact the 7.62x39 is very thin on the ground in the m77). However, I will need a stock, stock bolts, trigger guard, floor plate, and all the magazine and gizzards.
The donor barrel is 308, so the selection of projectiles should be a bit better.
The plan is to get TSE to rebarrel it, and slip it into a Boyd's forest camo or surplus Ruger stock. I am yet to locate bottom metal, magazine or trigger guard in Australia, so midway or PTG are the likely supplier. Unless someone knows of a secret stash?

Any ideas? Suggestions?

I just picked up the bottom metal, trigger guard and mag, just after stock bolts and stock now.

That I do not know. I was going to head down to my local Nut N Bolt place, they are all shooters, and have it sized up when they re open.

All the action screws sorted, al for the princely sum of $2...

Just go to source a 7.62x39/284Win mag well. Otherwise I am done!
