Weatherby Vanguard / Remington 700

Got a mate who recently purchased a Weatherby Vanguard series 2 in .243 and he has sitting at a mates place in the U.S. a Bell & Carlson to suit a Remington 700.
Would the Weatherby barrelled action fit into the Bell & Carlson without too much trouble ?
Or should he just find another stock ?
