Do you need to use different width tins for long and short cases?

I went with a more conventional style as it suited the bits and pieces I had lying around. Yours has some advantages.

Missed, don't want to hijak but here is a link to a video of my annealing machine.

Not as refined as Adam and GregT. but have used it on 223, 243, 204and a few 221 I formed as an experiment. Made from bits and pieces originally but bought a small 12v motor and gearbox when I new it would work. May do write up after some more testing but I like Adam/GregT design, liked that type but didn't have the right items to experiment.

Well if it was in winter we could fire up the fire pit fancy way of saying 44 drum of fire :) coffee fire and anneal some cases :) make your pizzas in the oven not a fire oven but still.

Its a little way off with other work in front of it. About 10 000 words of research but it is a good distraction for a change so might get it built soon enough.

It hasn't much at all. Other things have got in the way.

Quick poll....

Lever actuated case feed which will hold about 10 cases ready to go. A little easier to assemble and less complex to keep running. Less parts to supply, therefore cheaper.

OR

Drum based cartridge feed which will do 100 cases. A little harder to assemble and involves belt drive for the annealing drum and feed drum to keep them synched. More expensive to make into a kit as there are more parts to supply.

Finally, irrespective of the above choice, how much would people be willing to spend on a 'kit' which you assemble.
You buy a specified motor, speed controller, and power supply.
The 'kit' (which you pay for) comes with a laser cut aluminium backing plate, annealing drum, cartridge stop, burner clamp, feed mechanism and fixings to hold it together. Pretty clear instructions on bending and fitting up the bits you supply would be included.

Deye223, that is the second more complicated version that Adam was referring to.

Personally I prefer the idea of the simple option which can feed a few cases. I am not going to leave it running without my full attention anyway.

Simplicity, compact size and repeatable operation are important to me. Incorporating a speed controller with a digital read out helps with the latter.

Cheers, Jason.

Adam I would be inclined to keep it simple with lever actuated job
