I cast these up today. .44 Lyman Devastator hollow point bullets, for use in my .44 levergun on the piggies. I reckon they'll make a fair PLOP when they hit.

Have not weighed them but they should drop out of the mould at 250-260gr out of wheel weights. Gas checked and ready to load they should be around 270gr.

Yes Nigel, for sure.

Interested in reading a field test on how they perform on game.
I guess if they don't perform you could always sell them as ash trays or shot glasses.

Nice looking Devastator hollow points.
I have a mate or two that loves to cast. They have just got a new mould in from os that gives you a chose of 3 size hollow points. I have about 300 Devastator hollow point bullets that they did for me.

Here is a not as good as your picture of a lubed Devastator and 4 samples of what the new mould will do.
Note that the large holes are pentagon shaped.

I still have some 250gn Barnes .458 cal pills with a hollow point I could put my 6mm pills into. They worked pretty good at 3000 fps out of my 458 Lott. Friends nicknamed it the flying ashtray. It was pretty impressive on cats front on.

Don't matter much at the average range I swat pigs. Guess I could fill up the hole with some Silastic.
