there are some on used guns but he has them in a bulk lot with dies and other cals, make an offer.

Or order Lap scenars from custers or get a new arsehole ripped ordering Bergers from Vic city arms or ask at your LGs for Sierra's

I would get the 123 lapua Scenars to try in the 6.5X47L.

Mine will be complete soon. This is the only other projectile I need to buy to have an assortment of 5 brands weights to try.

Cheers

I have been using the 123grn moly Lapua's in my 6.5x47 & they have been shooting well with 39 grains of AR2208.
I also tried the Seirra 120 MK's & they shot simular.
keep us informed on how you guys get on.

my 6.5x47 has 1 in 8 twist maddco 30 barrel , iv,e been shooting 140grainers useing 38 - 39 grains of 2009 as i could not get any information on what loads to use , though it has been shooting 5 shot one hole groups & shoots extremly well out to 900 yards, i have not tried further distance as yet . has anyone got any thoughts on different powders useing the 140grainers . as i said the 2009 seems to be working OK ! , but i think i could get better out of this rifle

Yoo Shotout----- sound like your rifle has all the good gear, so why would you shoot anything but the good Lapua's or Sierra's.
If it's shooting ragged holes with Taipans, wait 'till you shoot the "good stuff"
I bought a box of 6.5, 142 gn Sierras the other day and nearly fell over at the price----- jump on the phone to Custers and buy Lapua's
I see Hornady has a 120 gn or 130 gn AMax---- the A Max's shoot well
Cheers Malcolm

For most use a 123gn Scenar over 38.5 to 39gn of AR2208 will be deadly accurate. 3000fps from my 24in 6.5x47 Lapua.

130gn Bergers have a good rep in the US, but bugger me they are expensive.

For the 130 and 140gn bullets in the 6.5x47Lapua the RL15 seems to be the go in my rifle. With bullets under 140gn you simply cannot get enough AR2209 into the case to approach pressure signs.
