Re: Internet sites to wildcat reloading
You buy custom dies or get by with using something similar (eg. 223AI can be reloaded using a Lee Collet die for 223Rem and a 22cal bullet seater).

Dangaff,
Wildcatting is just what it infers doing something nobody else has done. As for the process there a re a few ways to go about it ie
1. Identify what you are trying to achieve and then look at what it will take to make it happen .. a 5000fps varmiter for example
2. Identify a case and specific need and go from there
3. Identify something just because you think it might be a better mousetrap
Once you get started it all gets more interesting, dies are easy to arrange, reloading data is usually based on something similar then work up and so it goes ...
I do not know of a specific web site for this kind of info ie how to wildcat cartridges but you will usually find plenty of knowledge if you ask the right questions.

Check out www.6mmbr.com and go to the 'rifle of the week' section or whatever its called.
I have a 20 Practical and I think that was the rifle from Week 61 - check it out as it talks about how to form the brass which is actually quite easy. there's many others good articles there including some stuff on the 6mm wildcats.
Enjoy!

dangaff,
Just be aware there is very little a wildcat will do that a commercial cartridge wont do very similar. It's awesomely good fun however and generally an expensive hobby ... but the education is priceless!
Cheers...

Re: Internet sites to wildcat reloading
there is a 2 part book about forming wildcat catridges from standard cases
it was written many years ago so some of the ultra new stuff like forming Dashers from 6BR's wont be in there
but it goes int a lot of detail about necking down (or UP) and case stretching and annealing
multiple angle necks/shoulders, radii shoulders like weatherbys
all sorts of stuff
it even goes through forming stuff like a 22/250 from 308 or 243's and similar type things
I dont remember it's exact name and I believe P.O. Ackley had a big role in writing it
there is load data and stuff in their as well- it's about the size of an a4 page and each page has 2 cartridges on it- so there is a shit load of info per case
I got to read a copy of this books about 5 years ago at my gun dealers- was a good afternoon spent reading
next tiem I'mdown there I'll ask whether he still has it and I'll get accurate details
Russel the owner of this site might also have something that can help

Re: Internet sites to wildcat reloading
dangaff,
Exactly what are you intending to do? It'd be easier for us to help if we knew what you intended. My experience is in loading for the 458AccRel (shortened RUM at 45cal), 303/270 and 303/25, little with a 375/08 ... soon with a 223AI. Also have the reamer for a 35/300RCM. Mate is running 416Taylor and 500AccRel.
Ogre's better with the BR based stuff, trevort with 20cals (from memory).
By knowing what you want to do ... we can better help with what you may be getting yourself into. Some wildcats are easy, some are advanced material only. You need to work out how 'crazy' you are.
Cheers...
