i have recently purchased two 45long colt .410 survival rifles for my twin boys (rifles made by H&R) and am having a few problems with my handloads ... I am getting a lot of unburnt powder down the barrels but the rounds are preforming well and are dropping large game as far out as 100m can i do anything to eliminate the unburnt powder (load is 20grains of AR2205 with a 230grain projectile) and have also been told that i can reload .410 in a .444 brass case is this true?any loads or data would be good as trying to find it is really getting hard... many thanks

Check your reloading manual for a load with a faster burning powder! Some slow burning powders work well with a long barrel but don't use up all the powder in short barrels. Are you using "pistol' loads, or loading for "rifle"?? The pistol load powders are the fastest(as they have to burn up the powder in a very short barrel), but there are loads that work better in long barrels, these are the ones that may not burn all the powder in you "short" survivor barrel!
