Guys, I don't know if this has been covered ----- but how do you guys dispose of old unwanted rimfire and centerfire ammo ? I have just cleaned out a mate's ( he is no longer licensed ) cupboard and he has buckets of old stuff.

If there are as you say buckets of it and it's to degraded to shoot the easiest thing to do would be drop it off at the local police station and let them deal with it. The whole idea behind the present amnesty is to allow people to do just that.

Rimfire in original boxes is hard to let go off

Same with CF- but to a little bit less extent

if they are reloads on the CF stuff a lot- most people wont shoot other peoples reloads

the RF stuff could prolly go to the local range as kids learning ammo

dont just surrender it to the coppers - give the sport some value out of it

OK, maybe --just maybe--- I exaggerated a little--- not so much as buckets loads, but small handfulls.
This stuff mainly comprises of old pistol ammo and rimfire. Believe me -- no-one would put this stuff through their rifles.

Apparently there were bucket loads dumped off Malabar.

im pretty sure St Marys has a bin you can put live/misfired rounds into. Not sure of other ranges but its just as you ener the range proper. just off the firing line
