Whats everybody think is the most explosive 6mm pill? Looking at seting up the 6mmbr as a varmint rifle....

I run 58g V-Maxes out of my PPC for windy night culling and they do a nice job.Would splatter more with a little more velocity out of your BR.

I run the 70gn BlitzKings out of my .243 with a warm load of 2208 and they really do the job properly.

The 75gn Speer HP if you can find them worked nice out of my 243...these things have a hollow the size of a match head

Haven't tried them on critters yet but the 105 grn A-max's powered by 54 grns of 2217 sure do some damage to a steel plate.

I would imagine they do.

I have seen Speer projies advertised by shops in the shooters Journal so it's still out there.. Just nothing much of it in my area unfortunately.

There was a local shop that stocked a heap of Speer stuff here for awhile...so all the locals used it...and loved it, this was back in the days before the polymer tipped stuff became popular but and everything else came in a waxed cardboard box not a plastic one

I am pretty sure I saw some in a Qld shops ad recently....

Thanks Kenny, I have 300 of them sitting in my cupboard but haven't fired one yet as the 87gn Hornady HP is accurate in my rifle. I will get round to trying them one day

I certainly know what you mean when you say they have a big hollow point

Most explosive 6mm pill I know of would have to be the 6mm TicTak all the mall ninjas seem to swear by it.

I've used 58gr VMAX and 70gr Berger MEF's with Varget before with great effect, but am now working on a load with 75gr VMAX and 2209. However, I've also been tipped to try some 80gr Berger's, and if they're anything like the 70gr ones, they'll be stunning too, but not bloody cheap.
