I was just wondering what sort of loads youlot are using in your 6mmbr's
especially the heavy pills (105-017) class

26.5 grains of 2206 with 107 Sierra, don't know the velocity but it is accurate, sub 1/2 moa to 200m, best & only group at 300 yds .8 of an inch for 4 shots, all I had left in the box that day. 1 in 8 twist MAB barrel with standard BR Remington chamber.

Used my 6br at a Prize Shoot today.

I run 30.5g 2208 with 105 Scennar's and BR4 primers. Around 2900fps with 31" barrel.

Very accurate.

We have no F class around here so could you please explain the idea of it all

I assume you shoot laying on the ground with a bag and front pedastal rest, and fire 10 shots at each yardage, and like hunter class benchrest the score is recorded in X hits and score......am I in the ballpark
Do you have a sighter target thats plugged......limited time.... sorry I just have 'not a clue'

F Class is a relatively new sport, shot on fullbore ranges usually in conjunction with fullbore competition.
There are 2 categories for this sport. F Standard and F Open.

F Standard you use fullbore calibres, 308 and 223. Any sight. 1.5kg trigger. Shot on fullbore targets. 2 sighters and 10 shots to count.

F Open you can use any calibre up to 8mm. Any sight. No trigger weight limit but must be safe. Rifle weight limit is 9kg. Shot on ten ring targets which are quite challenging. 3 sighters and ten shots to count.

F Class is shot prone at distances of 300 to 1,000 yards with a front and rear rest or bipod.
This type of shooting is something anyone can try and do well in, even with little experience. It is an ideal sport for beginning competitive shooters, both male and female. F-Class is the fastest growing long-range shooting sport in the world.

A question for "MORERAMS", do you like your MAB barrel? I have heard they are a little rough inside, & foul quicker, with some gunsmiths prefering imported barrels. I have the choice between a 1:8 MAB & a DOUGLAS 1:10. Will only be shooting to 600yds

I was speaking to one of the MAB boys at the Brissy fly shoot ( I think he might have been Mr MAB) and I asked him about the rumour of his tubes not being lapped His reply was if you ask for a tube to be lapped they will do it for you for a small extra fee when it is ordered, he said his usual stuff is not 'lapped' as he felt no need for it.

He also told me he can make any caliber with any twist you desire which is something a lot of others don't seem to do.

Can't say that MAB barrels are any rougher than similar priced barrels and I havn't had any fouling problems with the 10 or so MAB barrels I have had, certainly some brands of barrel are better and some are worse too, like any brand you will get the odd barrel that fouls a bit more or less than most, with MAB being the local guy, you can go straight to them with your problem.

If you are shooting to 600 yds/m I think you will be wanting to use a heavy match type bullet so the 1 in 10 wont be a fast enough twist for you.
