Hey ryan,
I use the 52gn shots in my 222. I belive it is good for both hunting (rabbits, foxes, crows, etc.) and target. I have a BSA with the original 1950's barrel, yesterday I was doing some load development with BM2. It gave a .170 3 shot group and a .450 5 shot group with a lot of 3 shot groups around .200 while adjusting the scope at 100 metres.
The total length of the projectile is .708-.710 and the bearing surface is very close to .308-.310
After measuring and weighting about a dozen projectiles they seem to be as close as sierra matchkings I use in my 308 and 223 Fclass Standard rifles.
Hope this helps.

I just bought a pack, will be trying them soon. Have only heard good things. If they are as accurate as the 50gn BKs out of my 223 and create similar paddock pizza I will switch

Thanks Mitchell
Great post they sound good but may still be a little long in my 1 in 16 barrel

anyway
on my stability calc they have a stability factor of 1 which is only marginally stabilized bummer will stick with the remingtons for now then.
Cheers

I think SHOT stood for sports hunting or target, or something like that. I have used them in a 223 and a 220 Swift. They shoot OK - not target quality of course, but the game I shot did not know the difference. Value for money, they are a good deal.

Yeah Thanks Jimbo
From Mitchell's Post I think the HP's are too long, I just grabbed a bag of 200 of the 50gr sp's to try as alot of people say they are great for the price. $22 for 200 got to be happy with that.
Cheers

HEY Shots are excellent projectiles . My daughter has shot a couple of boars with 52 gn shots out of her sako 75 in 222 and regulary shoots groups in the .2's . Both boars were 1 shot kills . Bullet placement is critical with them .
