Too pedantic

Mate bought some cases.
I think he said he bought them once fired from another member. They wouldn’t chamber in his rifle. Bring em round and I’ll size em.
Hmmm they look well used but let’s size them and see.
My first process is decapping. The primer falls out with very little pressure. Arouses my suspicions.
I tried to prime them.
With my thumb. They are staying in. I’m thinking this is not once fired and if the pockets are so loose I would chuck them. So the topic title is the question. The thumb seated primers are staying in the case.
Would you load them up and tell me I’m being too pedantic?
