So im trying to work on a better load for the 22-250 but its crushing the shell and im unsure where its going wrong.
Projectile diameter .223.5
Neck interanal diameter. 220.0

Any pointers?

Looks to me like you have your seating die set to low in the press and it is hitting the crimp ring inside the neck of the seating die. Lower your handle, then screw the seating die in until it is just touching the top of your shell holder, then BACK it off a quarter turn. Then lock it up with the locking ring. Unscrew your seating stem, the sticky out bit at the top of the die, then run a case with a projectile sitting on the case mouth, then screw the seating stem down till it touches the projectile, you will feel this, raise your handle thereby lowering the case out of the die and screw the seating stem in a few turns, raise the ram again and it will have seated your projectile part way. After that, just work out your seating depth, for what you use your rifle for, I would just seat to either factory cartridge length or mag length if you wish.

All the above should be in the destruction leaflet that came with your dies.

If the dies are Lee, throw them over your shoulder and get proper dies.

P.s. there is no neck tension issues there, but there is a klutz issue.

I’m not done 22-250 but I’d be checking your die setup.

You shouldn’t be crushing cases...

How many times have those cases been used?

Have you changed your die setup?

I think you use Lee dies, as I do. Stick with the supplied instructions. If I recall right is basically close the press on a case and adjust until just touching, open press and add a quarter turn.

If you are using other dies and or press you’ll need to fiddle.

As Camel suggests, I suspect you have your die screwed in to far, which is crushing the case. It doesn’t look to be a neck tension issue.

Ok. Glad you’ve identified the problem.

I was wondering if you had tried to anneal them and gone overboard.

What die are you using? Full length or just neck sizing.?

Doesn't matter what sizing die you use. your problem is the seating die set up incorrectly.

Keachie listen to camel. You seem to have been fortunate to be the recipient of the tiny bit of wisdom he possesses.

Just watch what you're doing with the die setup.

Trev will call me a tight-ass but Lee dies are fine.

Just figure out how to do your RCBS dies as best suits.

Start with less, you can always adjust for more if necessary. Going the other direction is harder
