Shoot this 8mm plate today at 300yards looks like nothing was going to stop it.

If your gun likes them and you want to use them on ferals, I can recommend the nosler 69gr custom comps. Softer and possibly thinner jacket and it breaks apart a bit easier.

I remember owning a chinese skk in 7.62/39 and the ammo used to have steel cores and did the same thing but wow I never thought a 69gr sierra would do that

You would be surprised then, how far a 22gn projectile from a 17 cal centrefire will go into a 1/2 inch (13mm) thick steel railway fish plate.
