22/250
So this afternoon I was sitting down after I knocked of work and was gazing upon some 22/250 brass branxhunter sent me.
Improved it looks a swet case but i was thinking more on the lines of running a 6x47L reamer in to 250 length sort of an improved improved good neck length that magic 30 degree shoulder and the known strength of the 250 case.
what say you ?

Trovert how fast are you pushing the 70`s with your 6/250 ?
2 mm longer so the throat neck and shoulder will be gorn.

Re: 22/250
if I had unlimited funds I would push the shoulder of the 22x4l lap back say 30 thou to take the case capacity to about 37 or 37.5 gns and a slightly longer neck

A Mates improved 22-250 has next to zero case growth.

Re: 22/250
the case would be full and I reckon that would be just the right charge to get great speed and accuracy.
I started my loads about 37 mark and once I got to 38 the muzzle flip became noticeably larger.
A heavier barrel next time would fix that though![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
