Almost out of cast .44 slugs, and the weather is pox, so went and saw the scrap metal man and got a beat up old paint can with 35kg of wheel weights in it, for $30.  :)

Did a few arm curls with it for the office girl, then took it home and commenced to melt some wheel weights down.

There were some stick on ones in there and some zinc ones but mostly the good lead clip on ones.

Steel clips float to the surface and can be skimmed off with other shit.

Clean metal, around 95% lead.

270 310gr Lee .44 Mag bullets, ready for sizing and gas checking.  They will be 315gr when checked.

These will be hunting bullets only, loaded to 1500fps and they give most pigs the pip.

nice mate,is there any closed down pistol clubs down there ?
always a good place to pick up lead.
roofing lead sheet is pretty soft but damn its clean.

wheel weights are good [and hard] but bugger me,they're dirty.

i used to make sinkers :D

ps:next time,go to a tire fitter instead of a scrappy, they usually give that shit away by the bucket load.
