Anybody have the Berger Reloading manual?

If so, could I ask you to look up the .308 Norma Magnum and post (or if possible scan and email me) the detail for 110gn / 150-155gn / 165-168gn and 180-185gn projectiles using Alliant rl17, 19 and 22 please?

Fair chance you've may have already seen it and it obviously doesn't have the Berger pills but Nosler kindly give out their data for nothing, a reference point if nothing else

Yep got that printed out at home - but it seems nobody has thought to include the Rl 17 data anywhere.

If thats the case try these.
no data for the 110gr in the berger book
155gr-RE19 start 65.5 max 72.9
168gr-RE19 start 64 max 71.3
185gr-RE22 start 64.5 max 71.6

Glen is on the money.

FWIW I have found the Berger manual to be quite conservative, probably because rumour suggests that most of it is Quickload data built on a VERY good model of the bullet.

It would seem that there is not much data on Rl 17 for the Norma, but there is for the 300 Win Mag. hmm time to start the old brain ticking over and extrapolating data.

Makes me wonder if there was a shortage of powder when the manuals were being written. I have looked through all my books and there is nothing at all in the nosler book for rl17.

Mick, pg 11 of the alliant book suggests RL 17's principal use is in short magnum loads. Maybe this is why it has bugger all listings for your cartridge.

Yes it does, but it also lists loads for the 300 Win Mag - ( on the online version) I am thinking od just starting 4 odd grains light and seeing what happens.
Obviously a very careful eye on pressure sign etc.

It's what it was designed for, but I have had good results with it in my 243AI, 7mm-08, 9.3x62, 375H&H and 416 Ruger as well as my 300WSM!
