Running factory to find out what it prefers, how many rounds do you guys normally run through your rifles before moving on to a different brand ? Do you also do a full clean in between Brands ? About to spend the day punching paper, any info would be much appreciated .

Cheers

Centre fire or rimfire ?? Centre fires I will generally clean after shooting a few groups, Im not too fussy about my cleaning routine. Rimfires I would run 20 shots through to foul it properly, get serious and shoot four 5 shot groups and then shoot one ten to finish off the box. Then give it a bit of a clean, fire more of the new brand to foul it again while adjusting the scope if necessary, then go to the groups, just repeat it over till you run out of brands to try.

Sorry folks thought you blokes were mind readers ! Plastikka 2o4 second hand. When you say clean are you talking a quick go with a bore snake or some hoppes then dry patch clean out ?

they were thinking new barrel and you were talking run in.

three crap 5 shot groups, move on!

if the ammo is 32 gn you have a great chance . 39gn green tips will be awesome.

40 gn, try and see

Ah haaa, there is the problem, see no one really takes plastikkas seriously. Any we thought you might have been serious about your shooting, ah well...............

Wouldn't use a bore snake if they were capable of biting my mother in law. Solvent, patches, brushes are the go. As its second hand, give it a good scrub out, or two or three, depending on what it needs. The do your testing. :D

I bought A 50 pack of the Superformace hornady ammo when I picked my T3 up....... Didn't have to try any thing else it shot so well and consistent I didn't bother, once I had enough empties I started load development. The 40's in mine were no good but the 35 grm Bergers are where it's at big time and the 32's are just as good as factory:D .

From what I've heard from other T3 owners and I will agree is that they shoot!

Best of you get to have some trigger time.

All the best

It would appear that you give this flogged out shit dribbling goose some credibility. Mistake 1

Using a bore snake.
Mistake 2

Listening to Camel in the future will lead to mistake 3

Get out and have a crack mate, it'll be fine.

If you use eliminator as was 1 of the suggestions do not leave it in the barrel as the bottle says, but patch it out and oil your barrel. Decent enough cleaner but not friendly if left in barrel
