Anyone loading the 20 cal 34grn nosler shots.???

Post by native hunter »

G'day All
I purchased a 100 projectiles of the nosler breed the other day and have not loaded any yet and was wondering if anyone has used them in their .204 yet.
They have a huge cavity and very thin forward jacket and look like they will be very nasty.
They are hollow point ,flat base.
Any tips or hints with them.
Regards
Damien Webb.

Haven't used any yet, but plan to use them in my 20 Practical soon! I understand they're quite cheap? I'd be interested to know if they work out to be accurate or not...

Try them with Benchmark2, my rifle favors 27.3, others have claimed 26.6 is pretty decent, too. I've tried that load in three rifles and it's been more than acceptable in all three.

G'day all, they shoot well in my .20 Prac and splatter bunnies with spectacular results but run out of puff at longer ranges. Have gone back to 40g V-Max which you can find at around the same price if you buy in bulk. Cheers Dugald

Bit off topic, does the 204 require a small or large rifle primer?

Just for my curiosity thats all :D

Shot them when I was fireforming my new brass in my new gun. I had three out of five shots go .1 with 29gr of 748. proberly would of shot better but you could feel the inconsistancy with the brass being new . Going to try them again now my gun is run in and starting to shoot really well. :)
