Ok so thinking of BM8208 behind a 85gn pill.
Will there be too little a load density for repeatable accuracy?

I have on hand:
2208 and 2209 anyway, but just thinking out loud . . . . .

A mate of mine uses 2209 swears by it when I get home I will find out his load.
And let you know.

I run 2209 @ 44 grains behind a 85gr soft point with pretty reasonable results

Cheers vermingone.

As with all load data, I will compile a list of what has been advised, and do testing in my rifle.

thats pretty quick for a 243 but it would work for 55 and 58g pills. but not the way i would go

it's just me but i run 08 up to 65g and 09 for 75g up to 95g .

+1

I run my .243 at 44grn 2209 for 3223 fps from a Shilen 25" barrel. I might drop it 0.5 grains yet, as I feel I'm getting a little too much vertical from this load.

When choosing a powder, Uncle Nick says to choose a powder that delivers the velocity you want at the greatest case fill volume. I have used this when choosing ADI powders from their website and am happy so far.

What do others do?
