Reloading for the 260 Rem

Who here is reloading for the .260 Rem and what is working for you?

I am looking at using AR2209 as I can load my 22.250, 300 WSM and the 260 as well. It would appear that it will work with nearly all bullet weights.

Any help appreciated.

A mate that I hunt with regularly uses 2209 and 140 grain Rem. Corelokts to great effect.

I run a 260 improved with 30 degree shoulder for f class currently. Running 43.6gr 2209 at 2870fps with 140 hybrids. Apparently 42gr 2209 and a 140gr bullet is a fairly well known accuracy load.

Back to 43.2gr 2209 and 140 hybrids jammed 15 thou now. Magnetospeed reads avg 2835fps. ES 10fps. Came second over the weekend in the WARA Queens with it after being 6 behind at the first range due to a scope issue. Caught em up good and proper just couldnt quite hold it together in the 1000yd conditions.

Dan, 41gr of 2209 pushing a Hornady 140gr HPBT. Great results on the 707yd gong at Yass.

Much more development to go tho. I would like to try some lighter pills as well.

I have thought about that Hiwall. If nothing else, it will meter better out of the thrower.
