Thanks fellas

Magnum sports are closed till the 9th, they were the closest.

Problem with pistol guys is they shoot fffg or ffg.

I think I will ask Cessnock or the Kurri guy to order some in I think.

Will give them a ring not sure how postage goes with this stuff as it's still classed an explosive unlike smokeless

Transport companies wont transport black powder...that's why it's hard to get at times...Forbes Wholesale sell black powder but they cant send it by normal road transport...get your LGS to order it and it will turn up next time Forbesy is doing his rounds.

Well, smokeless is still classed as explosive, but it's a lower category [DG Class 1.3C] than black powder [1.1D, the same as blasting explosives]. So the normal couriers can't transport black powder. A dealer like Forbesy operates under a limited exemption, but transport otherwise has to be by licensed explosives carriers, in approved explosives trucks.

The classification also means that a normal shop can't keep much of it on hand, unless they have an explosives magazine.

This mob is the major distributor of black powder in NSW, and should be able to point you at a stockist: http://www.combsim.com.au/commercial.html

I have seen these guys before, just not down that way that often. But probably will be sometime this month.

Thanks Doug will check them out, Think the best bet will be to just get the local to bring some up for me when they are in Sydney next.
