Just finished de-capping 100x 22-250 shells, put the verniers on them as I went and I ended up with;
40 cases within tolerances
8 that needed trimming,and,
32 that are BELOW the minimum tolerance.
So im thinkin to meself whats going on? I traced the problem back to the last time I trimmed a heap of cases the centre shaft in my trimmer had been creeping, and now I know why I was getting so many strays at the range. Make sure you check the grub screw is super tight on your trimmer. Ive only got another 200 cases to go!
Cheers fellas.

G"Day
Thats exactly why I check every ten or so with the verniers when I trim cases.
It is a real PITA.!!
How much below minium specs are those 32 cases.??

Mate they range from being .02mm under to .18mm under, the latter being significant as there is only .24mm in the tolerance. Ive got a box of FMJ's a mate gave me, ill work up some mild loads and go shooting paper with the short ones.
