Hi All
I'm a long time reader, first time writer. I am wondering if anyone out there has tried Reloader 17 ? I am using a Browning X-Bolt in .300WSM & have been using AR2206H & AR2209 with Nosler Ballistic Tip pills in 150gr, 165gr & 180gr with ok results. After some reseach i came across Reloader 17 so i went out & got some.
So i would really appreciate any feedback.
Cheers
Joey

Re: Alliant Reloader 17
I have been using it in my 6.5X55AI. Not much difference to 2209. Definitely not the rocket fuel they claim to get excited about. Ended up using 1 grn. less for the same velocity. Only advantage there would be slightly cooler and longer burn time. Works a tad better in my 6mm. 284 wildcat shortened case. Should be ok. for the larger magnum cases.

Re: Alliant Reloader 17
Thanx for the replies guys.
I just got back from the farm this afternoon & found that the Browning X-Bolt realy liked it.
At 100 yards it was slightly better than the AR2209 ( truth be told i was using STD large primers with the AR2209 & have now switched to magnum )giving me a group of 0.5" @ 100y, but was much better at 200y than the AR2209 with the group of 1.3" @ 200y ( have to site it in at that range because i am using the Redfield 4-12 X 40 with accurange recticle for 180gr pill @ 2950 fps)
Min load for 180gr projectile is 59.4 & max is 66, but i found it the best accuracy at 59 gr with a 5 shot group with slowest at 2833 fps & fastest at 2849 fps, which i thought was very consistent.
So i think a bit of finesing between 59gr & 60gr & i should be able to get it up to 2950 fps.
Cheers guys & thanx again for the replies.
