plenty accurate

Post by mistit »

i started some load development today on the nesika ,the gun shot 2 groups around the half inch mark or slightly over with kuen 63 grainers at 3500 fps,at 200 yds ,basically i shot it through the chrony until i reached the velocity i wanted then shot a group with it changing seating depth slightly between the two loads,i decided to stick half a grain more 2219 in it and bingo,5 shots at 200 yds ,got to be happy with this :D :D  velocity 3580

yes fellas it is nice ,got to love the 6 br as macca said, the gun actually shot another one slightly smaller but i did not keep the target,im sure there will be plenty more any way.. :D but i built it as a varmint gun so targets are not really on the hit list ,doesnt hurt though :D

G'day doidge, just out of interest mate, have you tried AR 2219? I would have thought 2208 a bit slow. I am using the same projectile with 32.8 Grs of 2219 for just over 3700fps. I also tried BM2, 34.5 Grs, for about the same velocity but my rifle shot better with 2219. My barrel is 27" long though too.
