Do any of you guys use CCI or Federal benchrest primers for reloading hunting rounds?

Just interested to know if there is a lift in performance or accuracy when using these primers over the standard rifle primers.

Cheers

You may notice a difference on the range mate, but hunting you wouldn't be able to pick between them. Animals move, wind blows etc etc. so it would basically be impossible to tell.

Use them in my varmint rifles . Are they any better ? Stuffed if I know but primers are cheap so who cares ? Eliminate as many variables as you can and you will have an accurate rifle .

Thanks for the comments fellas.

I know you are probably not going to notiice the difference in the field, but i like my varmint rifles to shoot tight groups. Just fussy i suppose.

l'm using CCI BR2 in the 243. They seem to work ok. l haven't done any tests with other primers to see what the differance is. But hope to one day when time permits.

The difference between CCI BR2 or BR4 as to 200s or 400s is that they come off the one set of machines. With Federal, the difference between the Match series and the regular 205, 210 or 215 is that there is someone looking over the conveyor belt making sure that there is indeed primer compound in the cup. You pay extra for the inspection.
